I’m going to start posting about some of my affordable beauty finds. I’ve always been more about skin care than I have been about makeup, but I don’t like how expensive skin care can be. My makeup routine is very minimal and I will post about that on another day. Here I will give you my run down of my morning routine skin care and the reasonably priced products I love!

We will start with my favorite skin cleanser, the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. I use this morning and night. There is also a foaming version of this that my daughter loves, but I love to start my day and end my night with this basic cleanser that does not strip your natural oils and the hyaluronic acid keeps all the good moisture in your skin! Funny thing is in this pic I see the cap is unscrewed. I am a finisher and I was getting the last bits out of this bottle!
Next in the morning, I love a good Vitamin C serum. I’m currently using this one from Derma-E. I have noticed when using this though, I need to make sure my skin is well exfoliated, or using this will create flakiness when I put on my moisturizer afterward. I like a chemical exfoliant at night, and that keeps the weird flaky skin issue away. I also like to put my eyelash serum from the Ordinary on at the same time and these two dry together before the next step.
Also shown in the pic above, after the serum dries, I use a moisturizer that has an SPF to it to ensure these Texas rays of sunshine don’t damage my skin. The sun here is much stronger than Pennsylvania!!! I love Neutrogena Hydroboost moisturizer as it goes on smooth, without any tacky feeling of an SPF, and it’s an SPF of 50, not just 30 like some I’ve seen. I need a strong SPF here in the heart of Texas!!!
Last but not least, I do love using face oil at the end of my morning routine. I love the Rose Hip Seed Oil from the Ordinary, which I’ll also run the excess on my hands through my hair at the end. I don’t currently do any gua sha with tools on my face, but I will manually massage my face with this oil.
One other tip I will make sure you all know, which hopefully you do already, is to use all these products not just on your face, but your neck and décolletage. These areas of skin are as thin as your face, and if you want to continue to look young you need to take care of this skin as well.
Hope you all like this round up of my morning skincare routine. I am always interested in trying something new if it’s affordable. Do you have any products you would recommend I could add to my AM skin care routine? I will admit, I’m looking for something for my under eye dark circles.
