I am doing such a great job completely changing my life for the better. Today while I sat drinking my coffee at the kitchen island, I followed the Angie Bellemare Daily Grind Plan – I wrote out in my bullet journal my 10 goals for this month, the to dos for those goals, identified the three needle moving items, wrote something I’m grateful and excited for and wrote what will make me feel amazing today. The above pic is my result today.
I’m so proud of myself!!! I might not have done 100% of the needle movers, but before I go to bed I will have one of the three done and decided one I will not do at all on purpose! This is huge considering if I didn’t do this planning, I might have done none of them. I also focused on doing my daily routines as I want to keep peace in my house while I work on all this change. I also didn’t include exercise today as one of the three needle moving activities, and I probably should have. I didn’t get to workout this morning, but I did tonight after dinner and I did a whole bunch of other things that weren’t on my list, but were important.
Things I am so proud I got done today:
- Worked out – Elliptical 36 minutes
- AM and PM routines (the kitchen is clean right now before I go to bed!)
- Made a delicious dinner – chicken curry, turmeric rice (was leftover) and steamed Chinese brocolli
- Cleaned out my work notebook and wrote out a good to do list for work tomorrow – I am going into the office tomorrow
- Got a call from the doctor’s and the boys COVID test was negative – got the notes from the doctor faxed to their school. They are returning to school tomorrow!!!
- I helped Liam (the younger twin) with getting caught up on his Science work. Both of the boys did school work from home and submitted assignments to keep from getting too behind these two days. 7th grade is a lot of work to get used to!
- I’ve also made the executive decision not to hem the boys’ Scout pants tonight. They will go to their Court of Honor tomorrow evening with hems tucked under. They are wearing hiking boots with their uniform. Who will really notice the hems of the pants? And if someone does, do I really care, LOL!
I’m reading a lot of things these days that people are rethinking their priorities and letting some things go and ensuring they are focusing on the right things. I feel that is what I’m doing this month. How do you feel these days? Do you feel this need to reflect on priorities and make some changes? Do you feel the need for a complete overhaul like I feel I’m doing? Do you find writing out daily goals helps you intentionally change your priorities during the day if you need to?

Hello,
I like your writing style. Very conversational. Almost like we are having a chat with a cup of coffee. Keep up the good work!

I absolutely love this! I wish I was better with planning, but my start is to make myself a short list on a sticky pad at work and try to get it done by the end of the week! Such an amazing feeling and worth being proud of!
