I’m back!!!! I know today is the 11th and I’m on post #6 for the month. Maybe I’ll pick a few days and double up on posts…. I’ll think about that as an idea!
However, things have been going really well with keeping up with my goals this month and getting through my backlog of a to do list. In particular, as I focus on planning my to dos for the day, I’m asking myself if it’s aligned with the goals for the month. If it’s not, it might not be important enough to do it!
The end of last week I was so tired to post anything on my blog, but I was continuing to progress. We had a Court of Honor last Wednesday and the boys got several merit badges over the summer. We had a potluck dinner as part of the COH, and we brought homemade stromboli. Lots of compliments were given on that dish!!!
I also went to the office both Thursday and Friday last week, and putting the commute back into my schedule was exhausting, but so nice to be back. The boys went back to school on Thursday after being out sick the first three days of the week. Going into the office for those two days, I focused on cleaning up my work to dos and being organized for this week.
The weekend was also a great balance of socializing with friends and getting work done. Friday night we went out to dinner with friends. Saturday during the day, Tom took care of some items at the house our nieces rent from us, and I took care of doing the weekly house cleaning and laundry. We then had friends over for amazing food and watching soccer. They have a son our boys age and they had a sleepover, which they totally loved. After everyone left on Sunday, I balanced the checkbook and paid bills. I really did all the things and am so proud of myself!
Today, in addition to my goals’ to dos, I had as one of my “To feel amazing I will …” to dos to put out the Halloween decorations! It was great to be able to drink my first cup of afternoon tea with this favorite mug. I even setup the Halloween lights with the timer setup perfectly!!!
This is definitely the blog post of a thousand exclamation marks, but the other thing I’m super proud about is I completed all three of my needle moving activities today!!! One of them was doing my first posts on Poshmark. I’m currently selling two pairs of Prada shoes that I never really got around to wearing. I have other shoes I love so much more, although these are super cute. I’m hoping they find a really good home soon.
I wanted to decorate for Halloween earlier in the month, but glad I got to it today. When do you decorate for Halloween, or is that a holiday you don’t decorate for much?
